Atherton Company is a real estate and builder services company with a passion for new home construction. We focus on the custom homebuilders in the Upstate region of South Carolina, offering some of the finest quality, craftsmanship and home designs in the marketplace.
 The company is owned and managed by Barbara Ryan, who serves as Atherton Company’s Broker-In-Charge. A 15-year veteran of Real Estate, Barbara has worked as an on-site sales associate, sales manager, and Broker-In-Charge for some of the country’s largest residential builders including Centex Homes, Pulte Homes and Ryan Homes. And, she was sales and marketing manager for the New Homes Division of Prudential C. Dan Joyner, Greenville, SC’s largest real estate company. Her experience and training includes strategic market planning, product (home and community) evaluation, model decorating/staging, and recruiting and training of sales associates. An active member of the Home Builders Association of Greenville, we have longstanding relationships with many of the area’s developers and builders, giving clients a wide selection of individual home design and style, and community offerings.
Most importantly, we understand residential construction. Our knowledge of the building process can be indespensible to the buyer electing to build their next home, or purchasing a newly constructed home. Whether it be offering suggestions and guidance with design elements, custom selections, cost savings options, construction issues, resale perspectives, lender references, and certainly contractual considerations.
From a seller’s perspective we can guide them through staging their home to sell. This enables to be in a better position to receive the top dollar for their home in the shortest amount of time. Our focus on target marketing allows us to get to the potential buyer market more expeditiously, again resulting in shorter days on the market.
